After many months, the mysterious location of the World Series of Video Games "Europe" tournament has been uncovered. It will be London.
This year's WSVG was originally supposed to be five events and a finals event at the DreamHack LAN in Sweden. The last competition before the finals was to take place somewhere in Europe.
It was announced recently that the location will be London, UK, and the event will take place on November 16-18. It will feature all of the WSVG main games (Quake 4, Fight Night Round 3, Guitar Hero 2, World of Warcraft) and an additional Counter-Strike 1.6 tournament with a $30,000 prize purse. Eleven days before the finals, London will be the last chance for players and teams to earn enough points to qualify for the finals.
The entire tour kicked off in Wuhan, China in May, then moved to Kentucky in June and Dallas in July. The next stop will be the recently-added event in Toronto, Canada on the last weekend of August. From there on it is only Los Angeles in the second half of October and London. |
