CSP showmatch hit by DDoS

The showmatch between fnatic and Reason-Gaming has been rescheduled due to a Denial of Service attack.Tonight was the night where two of the worlds best teams, fnatic (CS1.6) and Reason-Gaming (CS:S), would face eachother in a showmatch in CSPromod. The match was scheduled to start at 20:00 CET, but was delayed due to server problems. Eventually the game started and fnatic took the lead by 15-9 on de_nuke. The server then stalled and the players disconnected.Due to a DDoS attack the match could not continue, and it has now been rescheduled to an unknown date and time. In addition, the LO3 show was also hit by a small attack but the host was quick enough to avoid it.

4Kings.css loses ritch

Just before The eXperience -LAN 4Kings faces change on their lineup. Not long ago ritch decided to leave 4Kings and forced them to look for substitute. Luckily it didnt took too long and HaZ joined on short notice. This will of course have some effect on 4Kings skill level.

4K^Ben said: The decision by ritch to leave the team came as a bit of a shock, especially with the experience LAN taking place tomorrow. Ritch informed us of his fear of flying around a week ago(when we originally went to book flights) despite our best efforts, being assured he will go with the team and booking his flight he still refused to go. This proves a problem for 4Kings CSS not only in the immediate future but in the long-run, as mentioned we will be using HaZ for TEX/i31 and we already have someone lined up to join the roster after i31, news on that to come. Regarding not arriving on time for teX, we were led to believe the tournament would start on the Saturday, once we found out it started at 6pm Friday(we arrive at Copenhagen airport at 5) i spoke to one of the tex admins who confirmed it was to start at 6pm but they would push our games back for us to give us time to get to the event I’d like to thank Ritch for all he has done while being part of 4Kings and wish him good luck in the future.
Ritch has joined Team Zboard for i31 and Haz has replaced ritch for the eX and i31.
From the Devoted crew, Good luck in the future buddy!

Adastra becomes NoA.css

Most people who have followed the Counter-Strike 1.6 scene a bit over the last years should have a slight idea who NoA is and what kind of heritage they brought to that community, yet it didnt end there. Over the last months and years this solely Counter-Strike 1.6 based team has invested in several other promising games and players.Their Korean Warcraft III squad has somewhat been successful in their broad and difficult game while participating in the biggest Warcraft III leagues, next to that their current Counter-Strike 1.6 team has been known to hand out humiliating defeats to some of the best teams in the world, proven by a 2nd place finish at the latest Electronic Sports World Cup in Paris, France. But today the organisation decided to venture into a new direction and pick up another promising squad of youngsters, this time they chose a team in the younger stepbrother of Counter-Strike 1.6. Yet these are not a team to mess with as their recent successes have told and proven, the Swedish Counter-Strike: Source players of Adastra are one of the top contenders for the coming The-Experience LAN in Copenhagen, Denmark. The five players that are a part of the new NoA squad have come together from various Swedish top notch teams such as Team-Dignitas and Check-Six, of whom both were considered to be a real menace to the European Counter-Strike: Source competitions and leagues. The vast amount of experience gathered by all players has contributed to one of their most recent achievements, qualifying for the Region #3 Championship Gaming Series Combine event after a close loss to Fnatic during the online final. nordQvist haunted majik fifflaren olanderWed like to wish them the best of luck and hopefully they will be successful in The-Experience event this weekend, proving they are a force to reckon with.

Devoted welcomes Josh auso Goodwin!

We are delighted to announce a new player to the Call of Duty 2 section! In recent weeks, the team has suffered slight inactivity due to two players, corp and LuNII, both being on holiday. The team decided to call upon an ex-teammate of vasquez to stand in for the CODQCUP July edition and TGL in order to continue preperation for i31. Josh performed so well in these games, the team decided to bring him into the main lineup ready for i31 as we believe his lan experiance and sniping skills will prove vital. Josh has an impressive history ranging from 2nd place at i29 with team c4u to being involved with the recent Reason Gaming team with vasquez and team 4G. Joshs lan experiance will prove vital at i31 and we are confident he will perform well on lan as he has been online in recent weeks. The team has been preparing exceptionally well beating top EU teams in this months edition of CODQCUP as we are now down to the last six teams!
PAL leaves without [R]eason

A few months back we saw the UK organisation of Reason-Gaming undergoing line-up changes for some time and very frequent. Last month the team decided on the final line-up and it has stayed up until very recently, where their Dutch back-up player, PAL has removed himself from their roster. The change became apparent after Reason competed in the CODQCUP, where they were among the few invinted, yet only managed a win over their first German opponents, Raptor-Gaming (16-14), shortly after this we saw the squad lose to Logitech.fi (08:13) and finally SolarStorm (11:13); both games Reason seemed very disapointed with their results. After losing PAL, the Reason-Gaming line-up is as followed: KarL NiGGLE tORSh wiz Fuku Good Luck from DevotedGaming.

The reasons for these swaps remain unknown, but eSuba player, street mentioned about bad results in the past month.
20ID pick up Rez

After removing controversially the best American player from their roster, -47!-, today 20ID announce their new replacment, in the shape of former Flow-Gaming star player and scope, Rez. Rez was up until recently playing solo after his previous team, Flow-Gaming collapsed a couple of days after the WSVG Dallas stop, where his team placed third. Along with this result, Rez has had steady results with his team throughout American leagues such as, CAL, CEVO-P and TGL-P, where he has always been a big hitter on the scoreboard throughout the matches, and this was the very reason 20ID team leader, s1refroty decided he would be the best additon for the squad. The 20ID roster now stands as followed: s1refrosty Havax brett rayZeR Rez Good Luck from all at DevotedGaming.

Logitech stim inactive, former Cadre replaces

Yesterday, the Top Finnish Call of Duty 2 team announced the departure of one of their longest serving members from the times of schoolgirlz, which is the name Team-Logitech.fi beame renound under. This member is none other than one of the best known names within CoD2, stim. With this loss, the team was on the lookout for a replacment so they could regain a steady roster for the upcoming LAN events theyre set to attend in Europe, and this replacment came in the form of former stheno-eSports (TEAMACER) and Insignia Cadre star, Eplot1c. This change seemed strange at first, as Insignia Cadre had been steady with their latest addition for 2 months now, but when asked about his reasons for leaving, Eplot1c simply said, folks at Insignia Cadre started to turn more more inactive. With this change, the Logitech.fi roster is as followed: SECCITAJ orPHAn sacrim joNi Eplot1c stim (inactive, back-up) Good luck from all at DevotedGaming.

*UPDATE* CODQCUP Coverage

For the past two days, Devoted.CoD2 have been competing in the prestigious CODQCUP. They have played three games so far, and have six left to go in order to reach the finals. So far, our team has played against the strong teams KomaCrew, defusekids and Insignia Cadre. After being knocked down to the losers bracket yesterday by KomaCrew, they played a strong game vs. the well known defusekids, and eliminated them from the tournament. Building on this, they played an exciting game vs. the famous Insignia Cadre, and eliminated them from the tournament as well. On Sunday, our players will play against inteRaction in LB Round 3. Assuming this will end in a victory, they will yet again face off against KomaCrew, who were knocked down to the losers bracket by Team Oxid, with a chance to redeem themselves. **UPDATE** Sweeping past inteRaction without a hitch, the guys were looking forward to eliminate the team that had knocked them down to the losers bracket. Going into the game with confidence, they secured a safe 16:7 win, eliminating KomaCrew from the cup. After this, the focus was turned on getting past nEophyte, a strong team with the backing of both Intel and Nvidia. Expecting a tough game, the team kept their composure, and in the end, were able to walk away with another 16:7 win, eliminating yet another top team from the cup. The next day saw what was probably one of the most tense match-ups in the cup, going into three overtimes. The match finally ended when Devoted managed to win one of the overtimes 3:1, bringing the final score to 19:17. This lead to yet another top team being eliminated, HighFiDelity, one of the events favorites. An hour later, the toughest match so far for Devoted.CoD2 began, versus one of the best teams in Europe, Logitech.fi. The team did not expect this to be easy, and true enough, Devoted Gaming was finally out of the tournament, with a 5:13 loss. Devoted Gaming has finished the July CODQCUP with a very respectable fourth place. Great played guys.
